I participate with a credit card company that gives rebates based on activity. One of the rebates was this the VTech 6053 phone system. Sounded good and I picked it and it was mailed via UPS to our house in about 3 days.

I installed a second line, so I needed a two-line speakerphone for my home office. At first, I hooked up the lines incorrectly, so when I hit the Line 2 button, it gave an "Error:Inhibited" message. Cons Receiver snags on hook, voice quality sometimes muffled.

The selection of 4-line corded phones is rapidly diminishing as wireless phones become more popular. Only the AT&T series and this series from GE seem to be widely available.
