Epinions Girl Gamer's No-Nonsense Sony PSP Review

by  lambchops,  Oct 11, 2005
Pros: Amazing graphics, great controls, easy to use, good size, good games...
Cons: I really, honestly don't care about the music and movie capabilities...
The Bottom Line: If you've got an extra $250 (plus the price of accessories and games) to blow and you love games, the Sony PSP is an outstanding system.
Review: If you want the best portable game system on the market, there is no need to look any further than the Sony PSP. Sure it is expensive (about $250), but if you’re a gamer at heart and want to bring great graphics along with your on trips and to ...

Epinions THE HANDHELD REVOLUTION IS HERE

by  donut_man23,  Mar 26, 2005
Pros: Combines movies, music, and games in one awesome package, no region coding, design, almost everything
Cons: Easily smudged screen, dust can get in easily, screen is vulnerable, price, no HD
The Bottom Line: Although the price may seem steep, its a very good investment, i recommend to get a big memory stick to get the most out of the PSP.
Review: The Playstation Portable (PSP) is Sony's introduction into the handheld gaming market and it definetly in made a great impression. The PSP value pack comes with the PSP unit itself, cleaning cloth, carrying case, headphones and remote, 32MB memory ...

Epinions Sony PSP: Redefining Mobile Gaming

by  mookiekong,  Mar 26, 2005
Pros: Gorgeous LCD; Fun games; Ability to play music, photos and movies
Cons: Price, MemoryStick Duo, Slow screen refresh, Short battery life
The Bottom Line: If you have even the smallest penchant for games, the PSP is a must buy for you. The extra stuff like movies, photos and music are gravy.
Review: I have been mobile gaming since the original Gameboy Advance. Yes, that’s not a long time ago, but it gives you a history on my mobile gaming. I “upgraded” to the Gameboy Advance SP when it came out, but it really wasn’t much of a ...

Epinions Everything You Need to Know About the PSP

by  psycho_gamer,  Sep 29, 2005
Pros: Multiple applications and uses.
Cons: A bit pricey.
The Bottom Line: The PSP is a slice of tech heaven that is well worth the hefty price tag.
Review: Here it is, everything you ever needed to know about the PSP and probably some stuff you don't need to know. I know, it's ridiculously long and drawn out, but I have separated the review into different sections, read what you like and skip the stuff you ...

Epinions NINTENDO - YOU HAVE A PROBLEM!

by  stuleg,  Nov 11, 2005
Pros: Crisp gameplay, portable MP3 player, ability to watch full length movies on the move
Cons: None of note
The Bottom Line: There is little doubt in my mind that Sonys PSP could well become as iconic as the ipod, and rightly so.
Review: Up until now handheld gaming devices have been a rather hit and miss affair, yes there have been occasional gems like Nintendo's Gameboy but more often than not the results are more likely to follow the Nokia N-Gage and the Sega Game Gear into the abyss ...

Epinions Portable media player that plays games. (Review, not preview.)

by  chrisell,  Mar 27, 2005
Pros: X-factor. Great looking portable media machine. Oh and it plays games too.
Cons: Supplied headphones, shiny screen, does not take normal memory sticks.
The Bottom Line: The PSP does it all. Music, movies, pictures, games. Great style, Sony name, massive X-factor. It might not replace the iPod, but it sets the benchmark for portable media players.
Review: Right out of the box, you have to figure something out about the PSP. For $249, including headphones, case, demo disc, a movie and a remote, Sony are selling the PSP at a loss. But they have to - the PSP is aiming to take down two bastions of technology. ...

Epinions Cool concept but could be soooo much more than it is

by  suemccartin,  Dec 31, 2006
Pros: Clear sharp screen, movies, mp3's, photos, games are all available functions
Cons: No mass storage, memory sticks expensive, no video output to TV
The Bottom Line: The Sony PSP is a marvel of modern technology. It offers a portable multimedia solution in a fairly small package and isn't too expensive.
Review: I'm not a particular fan of handheld games but I've been looking at this beast for awhile and from what I've seen there is a lot of potential in this little gadget. When it came out it was primarily pointed at the gamer and those that may want to watch ...

Epinions PSP Guide to emulating classic Nintendo / SNES / Genesis Games and Watch Downloaded Movies!

by  skyth,  Jan 14, 2006
Pros: Can do anything and everything but cooke omelettes.
Cons: Can get very expensive
The Bottom Line: Buy it. Now.
Review: The other day I was browsing for PSP items on EBAY, and saw an appalling ad. Some opportunist jerk was selling a document file that he wrote which explained how to play avi videos and emulate nintendo games on the PSP. Now, if you are unfamiliar with ...

Epinions A serious handheld...and more than a game system

by  ratnarat,  Dec 25, 2005
Pros: Gorgeous, has many features, has amazing gaming, well made
Cons: Multimedia functions are only adequate compared to a PDA or iPod, few killer games
The Bottom Line: Get a PSP. There's just no reason not to, and Sony has risen above the call of duty.
Review: Let me preface this review by saying that i've owned a fair proportion of handheld gaming devices. From the original Game Boy, to the ill-fated Game.Com up to the Nintendo DS, I've played a good deal of mobile games. Some say that mobile games are best ...

Epinions Currently the best portable gaming device on the market!

by  dougf,  Apr 3, 2005
Pros: Small, graphics, gameplay, responsive, wireless, and fun!
Cons: Screen smudges and/or scratches easily, screen is bad in sunlight.
The Bottom Line: I recommend this to older gamers. Once you see it, you immediately have to own it. Great for games and other multi-media features.
Review: I purchased the Sony PSP (Playstation Portable) on Saturday, March 26. I always liked portable gaming devices, but never found myself satisfied for too long with what became available. I got one of the first Gameboys that came out years ago, last year ...
