Epinions Madden 2002: Ea sports, YOUR in the game.

by  pavona21, top reviewer in Games ,  Nov 25, 2001
Pros: exceptional graphics, great replay value, excellent controls, good Multi-player.
Cons: Similar to 2001 for ps2, saving takes a lot of space.
The Bottom Line: This is quite possibly the best sports game ever made. Great graphics, features, controls, gameplay, speed, and replay value. It is WELL worth the $50.
Review: On November 18th, early in the morning, i waited in line at the local Target to pick up my gamecube. With my gamecube, i was able to pick up a memory card, and Madden 2002. When i got home and set it all up, i literally sat on my couch, glaring at...

Epinions The Best Gets Better On Gamecube and PS2

by  billservo,  Jan 8, 2002
Pros: Improved AI, control, graphics, gameplay modes.
Cons: Quirky save feature, minor holes in AI, minor clipping issues.
The Bottom Line: Madden 2002 raises the bar again for all football games everywhere. Vast improvements to AI, control and gameplay make this more just an update.
Review: Note: This review covers both the Gamecube and PS2 version of the game. Both games were actually played side by side in writing this review. Differences are minor and noted within.

Last year’s Madden was nothing less than...

Epinions Madden's rein on football video-games continues

by  greendaydm,  Feb 7, 2002
Pros: Crazy Madden Replays...awesome...A-W-E-S-O-M-E multiplayer game!
Cons: A bit repetitive single player season...and it takes forever to kickoff!
The Bottom Line: Amazingly fluid animation, jaw-dropping moves, and Maddens crazy comments to Boot! Get 3 friends (or enemys) and kill eachother...in an outstanding round of MADDEN 2002!
Review: I have had all of the Madden football games through the eras of nintendo systems...starting with Madden 94' for SNES-the football game I played for hours with my cousin running crazy plays gaining about 500 rushing yards every play by running back and...

Epinions Not quite Perfect, but Still the Best

by  ragontona,  Feb 12, 2002
Pros: Robust Franchise Mode, best attempt at realistic moves and action yet...
Cons: Figures can still pass "through" each other, an utterly useless "challenge play" feature, some lag
The Bottom Line: A great football sim, not perfect, but the best out there. And beware the franchise mode -- you'll never leave your couch.
Review: Alright, I've had Madden for about four months now, and rarely has it left my vertical disc tray. I'm in the 10th year of a proud Fredericksburg Tigers franchise, with three Super Bowls under our belts and going for fourth this year. Nearly all...

by  paradigmcubed,  Aug 18, 2002
Pros: Improved AI, Awesome Graphics, Great Controls, More Features
Cons: No on-line connectivity, Game lags at points, Repetitive Commentary, Uses large amount of memory
The Bottom Line: Madden 2002 is a great game with excellent graphics, responsive controls and many other features such as franchise or create a player. Madden has beaten all its competitors again!
Review: EA Sports is well known when it comes to sports games and even better know for it's football series Madden. The newest installment, Madden 2002 has once again broken the standards of excellence again. Madden 2002 fully utilizes the graphics on this...

Epinions unbelievable

by  stewie24,  Feb 26, 2002
Pros: gameplay, graphics, game options
Cons: tough to find one worthy of noting, although madden gets annoying
The Bottom Line: this game is worth the $50!!! don't bother renting, just go buy. great for single play, or with friend(s).
Review: if you're a serious gamer, and especially a serious sports gamer, you seem to find every flaw that a game has and then it eats at you each time that you pick up the controller. it may be that the passing is bad, or the guys don't make their blocks when...

Epinions The Best Football Sim I’ve Ever Played...(GC)

by  Rock_On, top reviewer in Games ,  Dec 11, 2001
Pros: nice graphics, cool movement
Cons: control can be confusing
The Bottom Line: There's like 20 versions of this one game.
Review: ...It’s the ONLY football sim I’ve played. I usually tried to stay away from the sport sim genres as they got very boring to me and were worse than watching them on TV. I remember the madden series all the way back on the Genesis, where I think the...

Epinions Madden knows football

by  so_cal_cesar,  Feb 13, 2003
Pros: Very good gameplay, graphics and sound. Quick loading time
Cons: Players seem to walk through other players on the field.
The Bottom Line: I recommend anyone looking for a football game with solid gameplay and smooth graphics for their GameCube, to go out and buy Madden NFL 2002, or at least rent it.
Review: This Madden game is by far the best one yet. When I first got this game I did not like it at all. I was used to playing the Sega NFL 2K1 and 2K2 football games. I thought these games were superior to Madden, in both graphics and gameplay. But the...

Epinions Great engine, poor awards

by  alien10999,  Jul 13, 2002
Pros: Great Graphics, Good Gameplay
Cons: Easy to edit, Madden Challenge is stupid, and uses too much space on mem. cards
The Bottom Line: Tight game for most, way too easy for others...
Review: Madden 2002 was the very first game I got for my cube. It seemed to me to be the greatest football game I've played. It is so far. After I beat most of the modes and gotten most of the records, I needed memory cards. I got a memory card and the settings,...
