Pros:  addictive, 2 huge cities, do stunts

Cons:  bad graphics, 1 player only, no main objective

The Bottom Line:  I would really recommend this game to everyone, specially people who like to do stunts and catch big air.

This is the first game to be ported from Sega Dreamcast. this game is just too good to resist except they could have made the graphics a little better. Its a pretty simple game once you play it for a while.

THE GAME:

The main thing in this game is to collect fares from your passengers. The passengers are always in a hurry so you better get them on time or they'll leave without paying.

You start with a 60's cabriolet cab and you go into a city with impatient passengers. These passengers dont care how you drive, they just want be dropped off wherever they want to go on time. The passengers just love for the driver to go fast so the faster you go, the more tip you'll get. They will even leave a bigger tip if you do a nice big jump in the air. In this game there are 4 drivers to choose from. If you do good in this game you can even find some hidden drivers and some hidden cars.

There are 2 big cities with many different locations like KFC, Levi's, Tower records and more in this game. The passenger will ask you to take them to any place they want in the city and they will usually give you less than a minute(depends on how far the place is)to drop them there. The goal is to rush through the streets as fast as you can, drop them off and find another passenger to drop off. When the timer runs out, your earnings are added up and you're given a performance grade. This may sound simple but it's really addictive.

There are 2 modes in this game. One is Original mode and the other is Arcade mode. In arcade mode you have a timer and every time you drop someone off, that replenishes the clock. In original mode, you just a timer and when time runs out, game is over. You can either play with 3,5 or with 10 minute runs. Both versions are pretty good.

After you have played for hours and hours, it will soon get easier and easier for you. It will get easier because now you know all the shortcuts to the destinations in the game.

When you are tired of just playing those two modes you can play Crazy Box mode. In that mode there are many different mini games you can play like jump in the air and land 250 feet from where you jumped off and more. Once you complete some, more will unlock. The ones that unlock will get harder and harder.

The bad thing is that there is not really a task to complete in the main original and arcade modes. Dont worry, that game is really addictive and you'll always come back and want to beat your old score.

GRAPHICS:The graphics are not too good but not too bad either. The bad part in graphics is that different stuff just pop out of no where and bother you so much. Other wise the game looks really real. It might look a cartoonish but its not too bad. The scenery of the cities are just awesome.

SOUND:

The sound in the game is much better than the graphics. The punk music of Offspring and Badreligion really makes you involved in the game. Each of the bands has 3 songs that are really good. You can even hear the screeches of the car like you are actually there. Sometimes the passengers say something which is also so realistic. Overall the sound is pretty good.

CONTROLS:

The controls are really easy in this game and there is not a lot of buttons you need to remember. All you need to know is that the R1 buttons is to accelerate, L1 is brakes, and the analog stick is to steer. Thats only 3 simple buttons. I like the part that you dont have to memorize all those buttons.

OVERALL:

The game is excellent. The cities are big and have really nice scenery with cool highways. This game will keep you entertained for a long time because you might think, I want to beat my previous score and then beat that and so on. You might also go for the ultimate prize, a Crazy License. There will many many things that you unlock and that will keep you going for quite a while.
