by  tjtoolmanz,  Jun 17, 2003
Pros: Great snowboarding Game
Cons: Could have more options
The Bottom Line: Great snow boarding game. Only snowboarding so if your not into it look elsewhere...

Epinions A worthy addition to your Xbox collection

by  Norwester,  Jan 22, 2002
Pros: Great Graphics, fun gameplay, incremental advancement of skills
Cons: Some tricks difficult to master, annoying soundtrack.
The Bottom Line: Very fun game. The variety of runs and challenges should keep you playing it even after you've mastered all the challenges.
Review: Amped is an excellent snowboarding sim, with many interesting features:

-Lots of gameplay levels... and room to roam about within the different runs.
-Interesting challenges.. with actual rewards (new board choices and clothes) and...

Epinions Amped May Have Blown a Fuse

by  EBelfour20,  Nov 27, 2001
Pros: Photo-realistic graphics, original concept to the snowboarding genre.
Cons: Lack of play modes, music soundtrack, questionable replay value over time.
The Bottom Line: Amped is a decent snowboarding game, but the lack of play modes makes it's replay value questionable at best. It may be more of a rental than a "buy."
Review: While I am not much of a Tony Hawk/Coolboarders freestyle-type fan, there was something that intrigued me enough to buy this title at launch. Was it the beautiful backgrounds? Massive soundtrack? Or was it something else?

Amped isn’t your...

Epinions Snow Business

by  everlasting18,  Feb 24, 2002
Pros: Great looking back grounds nice player models
Cons: Runs are too short and the soundtrack is at best annoying
The Bottom Line: This game could have been top dog if it would'nt have been for the steep learning curve of the control physics but what can ya do.
Review: Amped was made with one thought in mind and that is to let people that are really into the snowboarding gig enjoy this game so if your not into snowboarding don't even bother.

The attention to detail is spectacular the hills look great the...

Epinions Amped

by  snotfist,  Feb 14, 2002
Pros: Career Mode, snowboard to your own music
Cons: Lack of Pro Snowboarders, NO SPLIT SCREEN
The Bottom Line: Amped snowboarding is a great snowboarding game for a very powerful system. I believe that all snowboarding games are fun and this one does hold up quite well.
Review: Amped Snowboarding is a very fun game for the X-Box. The game has a couple different options that let you to do a Career mode, free ride, and 2 player.

The game is mostly set up in the career mode. There you have to complete challenges to...

Epinions I Wasn't "Amped"

by  the_ranger,  Dec 28, 2003
Pros: Good soundtrack, interesting career mode.
Cons: Frustrating, difficult, with unrealistic/quirky physics.
The Bottom Line: Only the graphics and soundtrack keep this from the sludge of the "One-Star" category. Still: "SSX Tricky" did this before, and better, to boot.
Review: Having spent the last few months salivating over friends' XBoxes and specifically, Halo, I simply had to have one. So I purchased a box set featuring the XBox, Halo, and another game that didn't matter to me very much. After playing it, I have to ...

Epinions It's no SSX

by  p-reynolds,  Mar 26, 2003
Pros: Nice graphics, lots of tricks
Cons: Not much variety, little replayability
The Bottom Line: Not enough variety, a lot less fun than SSX. Maybe worth its bargain-bin price if you're into snowboarding.
Review: Amped is Microsoft's answer to SSX. It's a little bit dated now, and you can easily find it for $15 or so. Rightfully so.

Amped consists of stringing together sequences of snowboarding tricks to score points. There's some variety -- some...

Epinions Amped: Not been played more then five times

by  azemom,  Jan 22, 2005
Pros: none
Cons: everything
Review: Our kids got this game for Christmas from Santa and the game called SSX. They are both snowboarding games and comparing the both together the SSX has been played so many times I can't even count even I love playing it. The Amped isn't fun to us. It ...
