You've Been Amped!

When I first played Amped for the X-box I couldn't stop playing it. It is an addicting game. If you love snowboarding then you will love this game. It is a snowboarding simulator. It has so many options to choose from. You can play the career mode, or play multiplayer with your friends or just free ride if you would like too. In the career mode you start with a world ranking and to increase in the rankings you need to impress the sponsors, out trick different pro boarders, and impressing the media. The game play is awesome, everything from the realistic graphics to the physics, spins, and grabs. Great detail has been put into the graphics and it has paid off greatly. Another great feature about the career mode is the customizing of your character. You can customize everything from the clothes they wear, your hair, body and the skills. The controls for the game a hard to learn at first but once you've played the game a couple of times you get the hang of it. The soundtracks in the game are excellent. As well you can upload songs from your x-box hard drive I believe and listen to those, so it is a customizable soundtrack. The physics are excellent. With respect to the spinning, grabbing, flipping, and landings. You cannot land if you are not straight and if you are grabbing your board. And to grind you need to balance your character using the left and right triggers. There are many snowboarding games on the gaming market such as: Amped, SSX Tricky, ESPN Winter X-games, Dark Summit and Shawn Palmers, but Amped is by far the best one that I have played. I recommend this game to anyone who is willing to have a good time. And the best part is it is an in-expensive game to rent or to buy.
