I recently bought a RX55 from Cardomain. The price was $229 with not tax or shipping. I had it in two days. I could have bought it on eBay for $177 plus $15 for shipping. Not too hot
Let me preface this by saying this was the first radar detector I have ever owned. But so far, i'm unimpressed. I have three main gripes with this detector.

Effective Detector
This is a fairly decent detector, especially considering the price. It falses for grocery stores...but most detectors do; the City LoX helps a lot in places like that.
