--Man is this thing is HEAVY! The cheaper radar detectors I've had in the past didn't weigh anything near this. Didn't weigh it so I don't know for sure the weight, but it's quite noticeable. Least I know something's in there :)

Very happy with mine!!
First impression right out of the box: wow-this thing is heavy! Of course weight doesn't mean quality, but the external build quality and weight of the 940 makes my two Cobra detectors seem like toys.

I'm very happy with my purchase
I did a lot of research on radar detectors before purchasing mine. I came to the conclusion that the Valentine 1 is the best, but at around $500 it was way out of my price range, and I think its ugly. I also found out that the Bel brand of radar detectors have almost always performed well.

True quality, best detector you can buy.....
This is my first radar detector and i am impressed with the quality and effectivenes of this product. I have only used this product a couple times driving 200 miles and it picked up hiway patrol "KA" band more than two miles away, it gave off very few false signals while driving through Portland...
